GAME OVERVIEW

A gun platform in a decaying orbit.

Stellar Bastion places you in control of a fortified platform drifting above a hostile world. Waves arrive along a predictable approach vector, and every turret you mount has to cover part of that arc.

Space defenses tend to trade ground for reach. There is no wall to hide behind, so the value of a turret comes from how much of the approach lane it can actually cover, and how long it survives long enough to matter.

Upgrades compound. A turret that is average early can become the backbone of the late game once its targeting and damage are pushed far enough, so it is worth deciding early which two or three positions you are going to build around.

HOW TO PLAY

01 / PICK ANGLES

01 / PICK ANGLES

Cover the approach lane

Turrets pointing at empty space are wasted money. Map out where ships enter and build only where your guns will actually be firing when they arrive.

02 / FOCUS UPGRADES

Push two turrets, not ten

A small number of fully upgraded positions usually out-performs a wide spread of weak ones. Pick your strongest angles and commit to them.

03 / WATCH THE CLOCK

Time bursts for dense waves

When a wave bunches up, burst damage decides the outcome. Hold your heavy option for the moment the ships group together rather than firing it early.

Controls

  • Mouse: choose a turret and click a hardpoint to mount it.
  • Select a mounted turret to view range, damage, and upgrades.
  • Use the wave controls to start the next attack on your terms.
  • Fullscreen gives the widest view of the approach lane.

FAQ

Before you play.

What is the best turret placement? +

Any position that covers a large share of the approach lane. Depth is worth less than the number of waves a turret actually gets to shoot at.

Can I play on a phone? +

The build scales to a portrait screen, but a larger display makes targeting noticeably easier.

Is this the original release? +

This page embeds a single-player browser build. Content may differ from other releases of the same game.

What if the game does not load? +

Give the frame a moment to start, then refresh once or open the build in a new tab.
