GAME OVERVIEW

Elementals, merged and deployed.

Merge Elementals: Castle Defense puts a merge mechanic inside a classic wall defense. Elemental creatures appear on your side and can be combined into higher tiers, so the strength of your defense grows out of the board itself.

Because the same creatures serve as both currency and army, every merge is a decision about timing. Merge early and you have a working unit sooner; hold out and you can build something considerably stronger at the cost of a thinner wall.

Different elements react differently to what is coming at you, and the wave composition changes as the run continues. A defense that worked against the opening waves often needs a different mix by the middle of the map.

HOW TO PLAY

01 / MERGE ON THE BOARD

01 / MERGE ON THE BOARD

Keep merging near your wall

Drag two matching creatures together wherever you have space. Merging at the front line saves movement later when the wave is already moving.

02 / ELEMENT MATCHUP

Read the next wave

Check what is queued before you commit. A merge that answers the wrong element can leave you exposed for several waves.

03 / DEFEND THE GATE

Weight the centre

The gate is the only point that truly matters. Let the outer tiles take the pressure and keep your strongest creatures pointed at the entrance.

Controls

  • Drag one creature onto a matching creature to merge them.
  • Drag merged creatures to reposition them along the castle wall.
  • Use the on-screen buttons to start the next wave or open the merge menu.
  • Fullscreen makes the board easier to read on small displays.

FAQ

Before you play.

What do tiers mean? +

Each merge produces the next tier up, and higher tiers hit harder and hold ground longer.

Is merging always good? +

No. Merging removes a unit from the field while it happens, so do it when your line can afford the gap.

Is this the original release? +

This page embeds a single-player browser build. Content may differ from other releases of the same game.

What if the game does not load? +

Wait a few seconds for the frame to start, then refresh once or open the build in a new tab.
